The Ayurveda Pura Shirodhara Headrest is specially designed for giving Shirodhara treatments in a modern spa context and fit almost all modern massage tables. They are used by leading spas and health clinics worldwide, such as the award-winning spa at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower hotel in Knightsbridge London.
The client simply places their head on the cushioned Headrest and the tilt and grooves on the Headrest collect the oil flowing off the client's forehead into a single stream for ease of collection below the Headrest. This avoids mess and saves valuable treatment oil. The Headrest is oil resistant and can be easily cleaned, ready to use for the next treatment session.

The Shirodhara headrest comes in two pieces: A lower wooden attachment with rods that goes into the massage table and an upper flat attachment on which the client rests his/her head.
Dimensions
Rod Dimensions: The rods are 2cm thick and sit approx. 19cm apart.
Headrest Dimensions: The Headrest is 44cm wide with the shortest part of the length being 33cm and 41cm at the longest point.
Please note that even if for some reason our head rest rod doesn’t fit your table, you can still use yours. Velcro is attached to the underside of the headrest and onto the upper side of the rods, enabling you to use your own rod-attachment with someVelcro fixed to it. Many of our customers have bought the head rest but used their own rods.
